Crappy Freewebs

Touching on a lighter note today, I will lay into the shit, that is Freewebs. Not the actual website itself today, but the mongrel race of which it’s membership comprises. A couple of years ago, Freewebs was full of wonderful sites, that had some nice original content and some hard working web masters. But in recent times, it has come to my attention, that most sites there nowadays, are just boring old easy-builders, with a few Youtube videos, a few miniclip games, a crappy website award competition and a guestbook with four ‘comments’ in it, three of which are advertisements from other crappy sites, and one of which is a comment by the web-master, saying welcome. It just isn’t original anymore people! Actually, it never even was!

Now, as a guy who started off at the bottom some years ago, I can sometimes sympathize with some sites, where the owner looks as though they have tried to put in some of their own work. But no, all these sites, must insist on being completely unoriginal, boring bastards.

Ah, a classic example. The king of fun, you say? I beg to differ, as I can watch the same crap from your site on about a hundred others. Well this ticks all of my boxes so far, some games from another site, some Youtube films, and a crappy competition. Oh wow! We even have some extra ‘original’ stuff, some game cheats, and, what’s this I see? Theme Park information? Get out. Okay. I’ll stop being satirical now, and explain my point. The content of this site, can be seen on about a thousand others on Freewebs. Which makes it even more unoriginal. Also, if you see something that could be original (game cheats, theme park info, home made porn), it has more than likely been copy and pasted from another site. Further more, this guy doesn’t have any original content on this site, except a few videos of him and his ‘cool’ (possibly retarded) pals doing poor imitations of Jackass, thinking it makes them look hard. Okay, i’ve shamed this site enough.

^^ Hardcore retards.

Now, another thing which makes Freewebs even crappier these days, is people commenting on guestbooks. I always like to see a post such as: “Hey! I like your site dude! Your content’s really original and your ideas are good. Have a nice day!” or “Hey! Your site’s doing okay so far, but I think a bit more original content would improve it.”. But no, instead I now seem to see comments like this: “OMG your site is totally awesome, visit mine now, with all of my games and videos, click here! it’s address is www.freewebs.com/totallyunoriginalsite! visit it now! XD “, which the commenter has obviously copy and pasted onto about 30 other websites. I’m going to name and shame again now.

Okay. This has been posted on several other sites, with the exact same crappy spelling and punctuation. Now this is another thing which gets me about these sites, they seem to desire nothing more than to have complete strangers sign there “gbook” (guestbook, shoutbox, whatever). I honestly don’t see the pleasure in having someone coming on your site and posting: “yoyo thanx 4 visitng my site. ur sites teh 1337. visit my site for all teh most ORIGINAL games on da web!”.

Now, i’m going to turn to the people who ‘run’ these websites. They come in a variety of forms and breeds. Here I will give you the profiles of them.

They are probably the most common members of Freewebs, and probably the people I would least enjoy meeting (aprat from Old Red). So, there you have it. A quick round up boys and girls, Freewebs users these days are normally total jerks, who are guestbook-comment obsessed, and who never have their own original content. Good night!
